 What is Brick Colic plus

Brick Colic plus is balanced combination of two groups of medicinal herbs….

• First group contains cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, & zingiber, comprises of volatile oils and possess carminative, stomachic and antiseptic actions.
• Second group contains chamomile, hyoscyamus and valerian having antispasmodic and sedative action.

Within therapeutic dose, this combination has potent synergistic effects, which are much better as compared to the effects of single herb.

Brick Colic plus is unique in its property that being on antispasmodic it never produces distension and flatulence as some synthetic antispasmodics do, but its volatile oil group immediately relieves this condition. Brick Colic plus is very helpful especially in weak children to treat anorexia (loss of appetite) and general health.

It is quite useful in acute and chronic dyspepsia, intestinal colic, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, halitosis and loss of appetite usually felt by a patient with gastrointestinal disturbance.

How does Brick Colic plus work?

Its first group comprises of volatile oils, which exert a mild irritant action on mucous membranes of the mouth and digestive tract, which induces a felling of warmth and increases salivation. Hence their use as carminative. Chamomile has antispasmodic and sedative effects, in addition parasympatholytic properties of hyoscyamus cause relaxation of organs containing smooth muscle, particularly in the region of gastrointestinal tract.

What are unwanted effects of Brick Colic plus?

No side effects & adverse reactions are reported within therapeutic dose. In case of overdose flushing of face & extremities may happen, which subsides spontaneously after sometime.

What amount to be taken?

Adults: One to two tablespoonfuls three times a day preferably after meals.

Infants & Children: One drops per Kg body weight of child, if symptoms persist drug may be repeated after 15 minutes.
